Expand your palate and your horizons with The Cultured Somm’s Wine Tasting Classes located in a beautiful, private home in Annapolis, MD.

Our classes are limited to a maximum of 10 people (unless otherwise specified in the class description below), allowing for an intimate, personalized wine journey. You will receive a 2.5 ounce pour of each wine in a different, varietal-specific crystal wine glass. All wines will be paired with either individual, artisanal cheese and charcuterie boards or custom, luxury food bites.
Each participant will receive a beautiful wine tasting placemat with space to take notes on each wine and a two-page wine tasting guide. In addition, the day after the class, a guide to the wines enjoyed, food pairings, and relevant takeaways will be sent via email to all attendees.
All classes are located in a beautiful, private home in Annapolis, MD just a few miles from downtown. The specific address will be provided via email, after booking and no later than 48-hours before the class.
All classes start promptly at the scheduled time. Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of time in order to be seated. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes in advance of the scheduled class. Interested in booking a private class or event? Inquire!
Note, as per the more detailed Policies (see below) you must be 21 years of age or older to attend any TCS class or event and be able to present a valid government-issued ID prior to commencement of any TCS class or event. All ticket purchases to TCS Wine Tasting Classes are nonrefundable and can only be transferred with a minimum of 72 hours advance written notice to TCS via email to theculturedsomm@gmail.com providing the name and contact information for the transferee as well as warranting that the transferee is 21 years of age or older. TCS reserves the right to cancel any class with a minimum of 72 hours advance notice and upon doing so, will offer all ticket-holders the opportunity to either transfer their ticket to a rescheduled date for that class, transfer their ticket to a different class, or receive a full refund.

An Evening Exploring Refreshing Mediterranean Wines
It’s the Thursday night before Back to School Madness - so you need to squeeze in that last date night or last girls night out before after-school-activities and sports once again rule your family calendar. Let Stephanie show you her favorite wines to sip during these Dog Days of Summer that will slake your thirst & offer much needed refreshment. We’ll taste four delicious wines from the Mediterranean region including a a stunning Greek Assyrtiko perfect for quenching your thirst when you’re out on the water or lounging by the pool this August. We’ll also explore some hidden gems from Sicily’s volcanic soils that were meant for savoring on long summer days and nights. Each wine will be perfectly paired with a classic bite from the same region. If you didn’t make it to Europe this Summer, this is your chance to take a mini-adventure to the isles of Greece & Italy and savor those flavors at the heart of where wine meets wanderlust.

Poolside Champagne + Outdoor Movie = Perfect Labor Day Weekend Kickoff & Girls Night Out
You’ve survived the first weeks of back-to-school insanity but it still feels like summer so you’re trying to soak in every last hour of daylight while getting a little adults-only time to yourself. Do we have the perfect Girls Night Out that feels more like a Girls Night In full of relaxation & fun for you! Picture this: you throw on your comfiest romper & grab a wrap in case it gets chilly, head over to The Cultured Somm’s backyard sanctuary just a few miles from the heart of downtown Annapolis, and are greeted with a cold glass of Champagne upon arrival. Bubbly beverage in hand, you stroll around the pool searching for the perfect seat surrounding the massive outdoor TV and fireplace, & then settle in with your besties (come with some or make new ones)! Once everyone is settled, we’ll watch the Widow Clicquot, the perfect movie to transport you to the vineyards and champagne caves of France, and learn about the early days of making Champagne, while The Cultured Somm pours you 4 different, delicious Champagnes and you enjoy yummy Champagne-themed, movie theater-worthy snacks! Celebrate the Autumnal Equinox and the official arrival of Wine Weather with four wines, 2 white and 2 red, that are perfect for days with lingering warmth, but nights with crisp, cool air calling for crackling outdoor fires! Let Stephanie show you her favorite wines to enjoy during this magical harvest season, perfectly paired with classic fall bites.

TCS’s 2nd Blind Battle in Celebration of America 250 & Honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Judgment of Paris with A New Competition Between California, Burgundy & Bordeaux Wines from Iconic Vineyards
In 1976 Napa Valley, California shocked the global wine world when its red and white wines, anchored by bold Cabernet Sauvignons & delicious Chardonnays, beat the best wines of France, including Burgundy & Bordeaux in what came to be known as The Judgment of Paris. Tonight, in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the blind tasting competition that put American wine & Napa Valley on the map, and in continuation of our celebration of America 250, we’ll enjoy 6 different powerhouse wines - 3 from California and 3 from France’s storied Burgundy & Bordeaux wine regions; 2 Chardonnays, 2 Pinot Noirs, and 2 Cabernet-Sauvignon dominant, Bordeaux-style blends, in another epic blind tasting battle! Champagne bested American Sparkling wine in our July Battle for Best Bubbly - who will go home with bragging rights after our “Judgment of Annapolis”? You get to be the judge & jury and enjoy these incredible wines along with delicious French and American cheeses and charcuterie.

Toast Your Mom with a Luxury Champagne & Caviar Tasting
Celebrate Your Mom this Mother’s Day Weekend with a Champagne Tasting accompanied by luxury, artisanal food pairings fit for a Queen – caviar, fine European cheeses, & a sweet ending from a renowned local patisserie. You’ll learn about France’s storied champagne houses & traditions, how champagne is crafted, and where to find the best deals on this effervescent pleasure. All moms will receive a special champagne-themed gift to take home (please note in your ticket purchase/reservation request how many moms are in your group).
Seating One: 1- 2 pm: Three Champagnes & Luxury Food Pairings.
Seating Two 4 - 5:30 pm: Four Champagnes, including a special vintage Champagne served by the glass at a 3-Michelin star restaurant & champagne bar in Reims, France, and Luxury Food Pairings.

In this class you are guaranteed to find the perfect wine to bring out on the boat, to the beach, or to sip poolside over Memorial Day Weekend. To get you in the mood for the official kickoff to summer, we’ll host this class al fresco, poolside with stunning South River views at sunset (weather permitting).
How to Pair Cheese & Wine: A Celebration of International Sommelier Day & National Cheese Day
Come celebrate International Sommelier Day & National Cheese Day by learning the art of how to pair wine with cheese. We’ll enjoy three different wines - Champagne, Sancerre, & Pinot Noir - paired with three artisanal specialty cheeses flown in from Murray’s Cheese in NYC and learn about the key components of successfully pairing wine and food.
Say What? Unique Global Grape Varietals
Assyrtiko, Zibbibo, Furmint, Graciano – these are not just random words, they are delicious international grape varietals that you are likely missing out on! Expand your wine vocab and your palate with this fun class.
Policies
Students agree to these terms and conditions upon purchase of a ticket to any TCS Wine Tasting Class or Event.

Admission into any TCS wine tasting class or event requires that you be a minimum age of 21 at the time of enrollment and be able to present a valid government-issued form of identification prior to commencement of the class or event. If you cannot produce a valid form of identification, you will not be able to partake in the day’s course. You must be 21 years of age or older for any public or private event conducted by The Cultured Somm, LLC, with no exceptions.

All sales are final and all tickets are non-refundable. Tickets to TCS Wine Tasting Classes and Events can only be transferred with a minimum of 72 hours advance written notice to TCS via email to theculturedsomm@gmail.com providing the name and contact information for the transferee as well as warranting that the transferee is 21 years of age or older. Multiple transfers are not permitted.
TCS reserves the right to cancel any class with a minimum of 72 hours advance notice and upon doing so, will offer all ticket-holders the opportunity to either transfer their ticket to a rescheduled date for that class, transfer their ticket to a different class, or receive a full refund. Refunds may take up to 10 business days to process.

We often take candid and group photos and videos of classes and events and use them to publicly recap or promote future classes and events. By attending a TCS class or event, either in person or online, you agree to allow us to use any photos or videos that contain your image or likeness on our website, email communications, social media channels, or other third party advertisements without obtaining further permission from you.
We also encourage you to take photos and videos of our wine tasting classes and events, to share on your social media channels and to tag @theculturedsomm and use the hashtags #theculturedsomm #theculturedsommevents #theculturedsommwinetasting. Our motto is cultivating joie de vivre through wine and we encourage you to enjoy our wine tasting classes and events, but ask that at all times you please be respectful of other attendees.

At The Cultured Somm, LLC, we strive to provide exceptional service and transparent business practices. To ensure clarity and mutual accountability, the following policies apply to payment disputes and chargebacks.
Payment Obligations
All payments for classes, goods, services, and events provided by The Cultured Somm, LLC, are due in accordance with the terms outlined herein.
Disputing or reversing a valid payment (e.g., initiating a chargeback does not eliminate your contractual obligation to pay for classes, goods, services, or events delivered as agreed.
Chargebacks
If a chargeback is initiated and deemed invalid, the customer is still responsible for settling the full balance of the invoice, along with any applicable fees incurred as a result of the dispute.
We reserve the right to pursue the recovery of unpaid balances through appropriate legal or collection channels if payment is not resolved promptly.
Resolution Process
Customers are encouraged to contact us directly to resolve any billing concerns before initiating a chargeback. We are available to assist in addressing disputes amicably and efficiently.
In the event of an unresolved chargeback, The Cultured Somm, LLC, will provide documentation (e.g., invoices, proof of delivery or participation) to the payment processor to validate the transaction.
Legal and Collection Actions
If payment remains unpaid after all reasonable resolution attempts, TCS reserves the right to take further action, which may include:
Filing a claim in small claims court.
Reporting the matter to credit bureaus and/or engaging a collection agency.
Seeking any and all additional damages and/or fees as allowed by law.

We value our customers and are committed to resolving any disputes, including payment disputes, professionally and in good faith. We encourage open communication to avoid escalations and maintain positive business relationships.
